Hello!
Reynan Punzalan, Founder
Reynan Punzalan was born in the Philippines and moved to The Bronx at the age of 4. He specializes in colorful weavings which combine traditional and unexpected materials. As an avid traveler and native New Yorker, he is inspired not only by the local crafts of skilled textile and basket weavers from around the world, but also by the dynamic and bold fashion scene of the city. His work is a celebration of rich textures and vibrant colors which simultaneously pay homage to both primitive and contemporary art.
Reynan earned his BA from Vassar College as an Art Major with a focus on sculpture. Immediately after, he completed a one year architecture program, “A Tale of Two Cities”, through Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. He spent two semesters in Paris studying art, architecture, and French. Professionally, he has also worked in Marketing for Knoll for 15 years which has helped sharpen his keen sense for beautiful design. His work has been featured in Knoll Showrooms in New York City and also in an exhibition at WallWorksNY in The Bronx.
Reynan currently lives and works in both The Bronx and Roscoe, NY.
